From pioneering quartz surfaces to pushing boundaries with advanced fusion surface technology, each new Caesarstone collection reflects a bold evolution in cutting-edge design. Now with Caesarstone ICONTM, launched in 2025, material composition is once again at the forefront of revolutionary change from our research and development team while serving as a solid foundation for groundbreaking aesthetics from our design team.

The Caesarstone ICON 2025 Collection features advanced fusion surfaces made from a unique, patent-pending blend of up to 80% recycled materials, including high-quality, postindustrial recycled glass and innovative materials. Our commitment to developing crystalline silica-free* surfaces has led us to spearhead a genuine revolution in the world of engineered stone and its depth and beauty.

Taming the Transparency Challenge

Working with glass required our team to tame one defining characteristic: high highly transparent layers. While visually attractive, transparency necessitated several formulaic adaptations.

“The super-transparent surfaces create some challenges in removing some of the background colors that were not visible before,” says Ido Winer, Caesarstone’s Head of Materials & Research. “In order to reach the optimal solution, the R&D team had to dive deeper into the intricacies of material science. We were forced to innovate and find a solution that will give our designers the freedom to create without limitation of background colors, and I can happily report that we succeeded.”

During the surface manufacturing process, slabs are subjected to high temperatures to achieve the necessary properties and appearance. The change in raw materials required the development of a new formulation that ensures the production process remains both efficient and of high quality.

This new formulation not only addresses existing issues but also improves several key qualities. Caesarstone ICON’s advanced fusion surfaces outperform other surfaces in terms of flexural strength and impact resistance while passing stain, scratch, and chemical resistance tests with flying colors.

A New Playground for Design Authenticity

As the company’s R&D experts worked to perfect the formulation for Caesarstone ICON, the design team was given its own ambitious goal: transition the company’s existing quartz design portfolio to the new advanced fusion surface materials.

“For us designers, working with new materials is a cause for great celebration,” says Mor Krisher, Caesarstone’s Head of Product Design. “From a design perspective, it gives us the opportunity to experiment and accomplish exciting things.”

Authenticity and depth were selected as central motifs that could not only facilitate such a successful transition but also create an enhanced design experience that redefines the meaning of home and kitchen luxury.

“Caesarstone ICON surfaces feature enhanced depth and provide a sense of layered multidimensionality and texture that we’ve never seen before,” Krisher says. “As opposed to other material bases, here we can actually create textures within the material itself, which resemble natural stone and are visibly evident, especially when interacting with light.”

Throughout the development process, the team ensured that the familiar beauty and characteristics of Caesarstone’s existing portfolio were preserved, which designers have come to know and love.

“Even though we were tasked with re-creating beloved designs on new surfaces, we wanted to highlight the new materials’ unique qualities,” Krisher says. “Our goal was to show the truth so end consumers could feel the authenticity of our new products.”

Inspired by Nature, Engineered for Tomorrow

Caesarstone ICON’s advanced fusion surfaces provide an innovative response to the needs and desires of today’s consumers and home design professionals.

Regarding materials, Caesarstone ICON’s crystalline silica-free,* highly recycled content base is fully aligned with today’s stringent safety and environmental standards. While the new advanced fusion surfaces represent a groundbreaking step forward in terms of sustainability, they still retain the same signature properties people expect from Caesarstone surfaces: resistance, durability, aesthetics, versatility, and uncompromising quality.

An innovative fusion of materials and substances has paved the way for surfaces that mimic the aesthetic qualities of natural stone and natural occurrences, thereby creating a truly authentic feel and evoking a newfound sense of comfort and well-being.

Caesarstone ICON aligns with numerous design trends — from Japandi to biophilic design — that aim to create luxurious experiences through authenticity, simplicity, and a connection to nature.

“As the world changes, so does Caesarstone,” Krisher says. “We started out as a quartz surface company, but over the years have evolved into a multisurface company. Our advanced fusion surfaces are another step in this exciting and inspiring evolution. If you ask me, we’re just getting started.”
