Caesarstone Joins Lowe’s 24-Hour Bed Build for Sleep in Heavenly Peace
2 min read

Recently, employees from our Caesarstone headquarters in Charlotte, NC participated in an inspiring, hands-on community effort: Lowe’s 24-Hour Bed Build, a round-the-clock construction event in partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace—a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring every child has a safe, comfortable place to sleep.
The goal? Build 10,000 beds in 24 hours.

The massive effort lasted two full days, starting at noon on a Wednesday and wrapping up on Thursday. More than 6,500 volunteers—including our own Caesarstone team—filled the Charlotte Convention Center with the sounds of saws, drills, and sanders working in unison. Volunteers rotated through shifts around the clock. Overnight crews, known as “Dream Builders,” kept the momentum going through the early morning hours to ensure no time was lost.
The scale of what was accomplished is quite amazing. More than 308,000 pieces of lumber were used, equating to roughly 214 miles of wood, to build beds that will reach children in 110 communities across 36 states.
Each bed comes complete with not just a frame, but a mattress, pillow, and bedding—everything a child needs for a restful night’s sleep.

More than 120,000 children nationwide are currently waiting for a bed through Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Good rest and a safe, comfortable place to sleep are essential for child development. Sleep in Heavenly Peace aims to provide these fundamentals for the far-too-many children currently in need.
At Caesarstone, we believe that the spaces people live in matter deeply. Being involved in this effort alongside our Charlotte community was a natural extension of what we stand for every day.

We’re appreciated working alongside Lowe’s associates, local businesses, nonprofit partners, and thousands of community volunteers. And we’re especially grateful to the Caesarstone team members who showed up, rolled up their sleeves, and gave their time and energy to make it happen.
